In 1999, my best friend, Shawn and I started making music on his Sony Playstation. MTV Music Generator on the PS1. Pretty cool stuff for the times.

We spent hours and hours learning and messing around. One of us would come up with a basic idea and structure, and the other would modify and alter it.

Ultimately, I would write lyrics for only one of the songs (Don't Stand Up), on new years eve, 1999. I then recycled many of those lyrics for a new take on "Don't Stand Up (I am not the One)" on the "Generic" album, in 2022.

This album predates a lot of my modern definitions of electronic music. I think it leans towards the Berlin School, but I don't know if Shawn would agree with that.

These songs were written and recorded between the summer and winter of 1999 (Shawn passed away in October of 2000).
