about

Written by me on May 5, 1988. I only remember recording this song once. Though, I think we may have played it a few times. I remember there being more parts, and maybe a harmony vocal. This was a "societal observation" song, and not a political one.

lyrics

I hit the end, you hit the top
Again and again until I see them drop
You pull the plug, I make it rain
Time after time until you say it again
Make it stop! Someone come and help me
Until it's not another faceless country

Keep me on the path away from destruction
Make my heart beat like a chain reaction
Am I alone on this flight from frustration
Make my heart beat like a chain reaction

It's not the time for me to follow
I'm not the one with my pride to swallow
You say I'm wrong. I know you're right
But what can I do to let me sleep tonight
Make me stop! Someone come and help me
I don't want to be part of this faceless country
