Should I ride another dune or wait beneath the stars?
Can I find a place to breathe in an ocean of abandoned cars?

Did you run? Did you hide? Did you find a place to die?
Are you here? Are you now? Eternal peace to disavow

An empty sky and wild fields replace the hustle and the flow
I tread upon the open sands as the Moon begins to glow

Is it safe over there? Is there safety anywhere?
As above, so below - another path to vertigo

Did I leave a memory of broken hearts and glass?
Underneath the mystery, I face a troubled past

Will you find peace of mind if I fall between the cracks
Another Moon, another face as I fade into the black

Here upon the mountaintop the day turns into snow
I close my eyes and feel the light - a change to undergo
Another town that turned to dust - another memory lost
My inner sanctum starts to rust - another albatross

Did I take the time? Will I ever make you mine?
Do you care? do you know? I don’t know where I should go

Across the plains a desert grows and I can’t look away
It eats the trees, no river flows - growing day by day
