about

Written June 13, 1988. Not a morbid song, but one about my eventual demise. I was convinced at 18/19 that I would "move on" at 21. Not from any nefarious thing I might have done, but that it would just happen:
Alien abduction (which was all the rage in the 80's),
car accident (also a big thing in the 80's),
eaten by bears. yes. i was convinced that i would be eaten by bears.

so far, none of those things have happened (ok, I've had a couple of fender benders, but no bears or aliens).

The song was written with a positive heart, nothing dark, just I'm gonna die at some point and things will be ok.

lyrics

Don't hope for me in a timeless fashion
Don't cry for me anymore
It's a life to give for all who know
And dream of tomorrow and forever

Forever dreaming, time stands still for you
Think of me, dream for me
Forever dreaming, hope is never gone
Dream for me, dream for you

Don't think of me as a lonely heart
Don't try to understand
Everyone's got to live their life
And everyone has dreams

Forever dreaming, love is still alive
Think of me, dream for me
Forever dreaming, time is your's forever
Dream of me, dream...
