So, my 9 year old son ran straight into a fence on the way to school because he couldn't see, or be bothered to listen to me telling him to slow down, or even pay attention to his surroundings.

Sounds a bit like our current society.

You blame it on others when you are afraid
You cover the garden when you think you want shade

Why do you run into the fences?
You should try to open your eyes

Where is the fire? Where is the smoke?
You laugh at the danger as if it's a joke
You choke on the questions when you ignore
Answers that ruminate drip on the floor
Why to you run when you need to walk?

You lower the bar when you should take it higher

Why do you hide from the answers?
