about

Written on July 2, 1989 by Betsy, Audre, and I whilst camping at a music festival. They wanted to write a song that wasn't serious and had no meaning (as they claimed all of my other songs were serious and had meaning). So we wrote this in a tent with an acoustic guitar. It ended up having meaning after all.

lyrics

I'm a motorcycle, I'm as happy as can be
I'm thunder and lightning, I move swiftly through the sea
I'm a monkey standing in the trees, waiting for a breeze
I'm a rocket, come take a look at me

Look at me, I'm anything I want to be
Look at me, I'm lucky to be free

I'm a city, a city full of trees
I'm a mountain deeper than the sea
I'm a shooting star living a fantasy
I'm a back drop of insanity

I'm an outcast living in society
I'm a t-shirt waiting to be cleaned
I'm a ticker hoping time won't flea
I'm a dreamer getting back to reality

Look at me
I can be, for eternity
