about

Last song of Archive Volume 2: 1989-1990. The last of the three songs I wrote in 1990, this one was co-written by me and Jen. This song could be about a relationship or a friendship. I think she and I were writing from different directions (she was dating my roommate at the time).

lyrics

Traveling down the road that leads to existence
Trying not to stray from the path, I walk alone
Struggling to the point where I last saw your face
Searching through the fog until I can no longer escape

The memory of you still stays in my mind
This feeling of you still haunts my dreams
Alone without you, I wait for tomorrow
Knowing someday I will be free

Now the road has changed, it's not as smooth as before
And the trees fade into a blur as I go by
I take the turn and try to go on
I only remember this feeling of you

The night has come
And still the end is far
The air is cold, as the stars are bright
And yet I am alone
